Title: Stir forth Lane development
Post by: redadmiral on August 24, 2016, 05:56:22 PM
Ripping Homes are set to develop land adjacent to Storforth Lane at Hasland. Their prospectus cites the highly regarded primary and secondary schools. Hasland has a highly regarded Infant school and highly regarded Junior school - it does not have a primary school. Why do developers not check their facts so that parents are not mislead?

Mmm. It is a bit misleading isn't it.

Quote
Infants is ages 4 - 7 also called key stage 1
Juniors is ages 7 - 11 also called key stage 2
Primary is infants and juniors in the same building and covers ages 4 - 11 KS1/KS2
If you have more than one child a primary school it may be more practical as you don't have to be in two places at the same time.

Where is the development set to go?

I've glanced at the ground being cleared on the Derby Road development - it seems to be going that way.
