The government are planning to bring back Grammar schools perhaps a test similar to the 11+ could make a come back too. I personally think its a step back in education and creates a two class system of the ' bright' and ' no hope ' cases instead of equal and advancement chances that will be denied under these plans. It is an flawed idea it never worked before too me this confirms that Theresa May is at heart a Thatcherite and endorse its values . Education should be about opportunity and enbetterment and to give a child a chance  not put under pressure to pass a test that will impact on their education.

Of course May is a Thatcherite, she's a conservative  ::)

It 'is' a step back.
The days when we stigmatised children/young people are gone and it should stay that way!
