Title: Christmas in Chesterfield
Post by: Old Cruser on October 30, 2016, 10:45:44 AM
I'm thinking of having a day in York nearer Christmas.
It's a festive place to visit with the Street Markets and Ice Sculptures.
I'm getting older and no young children now - even the grandchildren have grown up I'm so old  :(

Why can't Chesterfield put on something similar - get the tourists visiting and cheer up the Mrs Victor Meldrew's like me  ::)

A Johnny Morris Hot Chestnut man or two.
Mulled Wine ( hic )
Farmers with a Horse and cart selling their produce - you get the drift.

Anything else to add to Chesterfield's dream of a Winter Wonderland Christmas?

There did seem to be a lot of senior citizens enjoying the recent 40's theme in town last Thursday.

I had missed that event but it's a good idea.
We have been to Crich Tram Museum when they have put on a similar event and there has been plenty of people there - we certainly enjoyed it.

WCT is right, there is a good back drop for a livelier Pre-Christmas in Chesterfield.
The ideas are endless.

Anymore idea to top up mine then?
