Title: New jobs for us on the taxis :-)

After 20 years of driving for Celia's Taxis, me and the missus are now working for Duckmanton Taxis.
Where did the last 20 years go  (y)

Been a slow week. Though that would have been the same if I'd still worked at the old firm.
Thankfully, as I've known for a few week I was leaving, I'd managed to tell most of my regular customers to look out for the new car.
Nowt worse than sitting there and seeing people walk past your taxi cos they don't recognise it  (y)

Takes time I suppose - maybe if you stood outside your Taxi instead of sitting inside it they'd see you. :))
Mind you- it is winter & it rains & its cold :P

& I came down with a sore throat Monday
& had 3 teeth out Tuesday
& felt s*** all day Wednesday
& went to docs Thursday, antibiotics, throat spray, paracetamol
& now it's Saturday. Can still hardly swallow, not had a proper meal since Monday night, lost about 6lb this week already
& it's my xxth birthday tomorrow. Happy days   :( :-X :'(

Was this a Viral thingy fly as I've been poorly this week with something similar. My neck was  very swollen and still is a little.
Practice Nurse says it's Viral.

Think the feeling poorly and dead for two days was viral. The sore throat was an infection hence the antibiotics.  (y)

Me - Conjunctivitis for two days - no driving for me - hopefully back Saturday :-?

mmm well that rubbishes what I was told!
Basically I was too old  ::) for tonsillitis and generally in people over ( cough ) 40 years old it's Viral - swellings gone down quite a bit but still not right - mind you never have been  ::)
