Spot the mistake. I'll point it out if no-one does !!
Quoted from my taxi badge application form.
You will need to bring with you (see renewal letter).
. Completed application form
. Current CRB disclosure if required.
. Fee - payment can be made at the Licensing Office by cheque or cash.
. DVLA Drivers Licence - (if new photocard licence, please bring both parts of the licence
i.e. the paper counterfoil and the I.D. Card).
' Passport/Birth Certificate (UK birth certificate required for CRB form).
. DSA Assessment Certificate (for your first renewal after 31 103114)
. Proof of Address if not the same as on your DVLA licence.
' A Group 2 medical on the prescribed form if required (see renewal letter).
You will need to complete the following at the time of application
A DVLA Drivinq Entitlement Consent Form (fee chargeable) £5
-
Your current address should be on your driving licence, so you shouldn't need something else as proof of address.
-
You might have just moved house, and your licence isn't back from the DVLA, or you haven't sent it off yet.
Nope, not that ;)
-
PassporUBirth Certificate?
-
No, that's an OCR mis-read I'd not corrected.
I have now.
-
Give us a clue.

Dog, bone !!

Give in... :-[

What was my recent gripe with the council licencing office about.
Why was I emailing Toby Perkins and Dennis Skinner.
Go back and read it.

Eh, where does my quote mention that ?
-
This better be worth waiting for Flyboy...
-
Can't believe 3 of you have missed it given the clues I've supplied ::)
-
seem to rember you having to pay a fiver for somthing, police check??.
-
Yep £5 for the DVLA licence check this time.
What other checks did I have to pay for ?
-
Do you actually make any money for yourself in your business, or is it all for the council.
-
wake up people.
It says CRB Check if required.
Fly's argument was that he had an acceptable one that they wouldn't take. So how can they now be saying if required??
-
I thought everyone who worked with the public had to have a CRB check. I have to get mine renewed on a regular basis i.e. only good for x-amount of years.
-
They've updated the form with new rules, DSA, £5 DVLA charge, but they being so numpty left the CRB bit on. We can't take a current one, we have to do it through them.
-
I was close!!
-
Passport/Birth Certificate (UK birth certificate required for CRB form).
Is it this ?.
-
I hadn't spotted that myself ;)
So how do CBC expect an EU allowed worker to get a CRB ?
Considering you have to get it through them :o

Guess what, read a licence renewal letter my mate received from CBC today.
It states an 'Enhanced' CRB from another organisation is Ok, as long as it's from within the last 3months.
Do I pat myself on the back, cos the council now see's sense and allows transportation of CRB's ?
Or should I be fuming cos they made me pay for another, when I already had an in date one >:
-
So I emailed Trevor Durham, again.
It bounced back, again.
I sent this email to him.
Hi Trevor.
Many thanks for supplying the info about the taxi status on relay day.
It didn't work out too bad on the day. Credit where it's due :-)
I've read a taxi licence renewal reminder today. A mate of mine's.
Do I pat myself on the back, that 'Enhanced' CRB's, are now accepted from other organisations by CBC, 3 month thing.
Was my complaining to you instrumental behind the reversal of the decision not to allow them.
Or should I be fuming that the council has now done a U-turn after having the audicity to make me, my wife, and numerous other drivers,
pay for a Basic CRB when we already held a valid Enhanced one ?
Should we be asking for a refund, I doubt were going to get one. So I'm not going to ask !
