Its the way he told them.

RIP - one of the good old comedians. :(

R.I.P. Frank

Remember years ago he came to the Winding Wheel. Obviously someone had tipped him the wink about the Leader of the Council.
Every 'Irish' joke that night started with the name 'Flanagan'!!

Some comedians simply aren't funny - we all have our favorites
Someone once said that a comedian who laughs at his own jokes isn't funny.
Frank Carson laughed at his own jokes, and I doubt that anyone who ever saw him would not end up splitting their sides laughing.
One of our finest and will be sadly missed, but remembered with great affection.

Heard a clip of him on the radio today.
Englishman, Scotsman and Irishman get invited to a Xmas party and told to bring something Christmasy.
Englishman turns up with a box of tinsel.
Scotsman turns up with a box of Holly.
Irishman turns up with a pair of knickers. The hosts says what are they. The irishman says "they're Carols"
Please note, PC brigade, a joke about an irishman told by an irishman. (Told you they were stupid. ;))
