Title: Bad language on local 2m Radio Ham frequencies.
Post by: Fly on May 12, 2025, 12:44:02 AM
I do try to keep my language at a respectable level.
Locally, some other operators don't  :))

You never know who's listening   ;)

All in good fun. Not point scoring  ;D ;D ;D

Not sure about your instance but I refused to let any of my Foster children have Radio One on in the car - purely because of the language used on the radio station.

Sorry to say but bad language is the norm, and has been for some quite considerable time. You just can't get away from it, it's on the media on public transport and even in the street.

Even when my kids were growing up I always told them " I can't stop you hearing it but I'll certainly stop you using it"

Even when we hear it when out most people will just say nothing but the more you ignore it the worse it gets, so what's the answer??

Bring back the birch.....that will do for starters
