Aw shucks thanks! I hope it sells well - if I sell them from Lulu then I only need to sell 68 copies to break even (ie pay the illustrator). If I sell through Amazon I only need to sell 217 copies to break even - hahaha!)

Although it's rocked us all - I realise how lucky I am to be so close to my family - especially my four fave cousins <3
Think this is a family disaster that will pull us closer together.

Oh boy - I can't believe I just sat and watched nearly ten minutes of buses in Chesterfield - maybe I need to get out more but... wow that was fabulous to spot all the old sites and smirk at all the 'old fashioned' cars. Depressing that is was 1987 and looked so dated - surely 1987 was only three years ago!
Fabulous - thank you for sharing :)

Chesterfield Discussion / Re: Chesterfield Lad to be Extradited to US?
« on: April 02, 2012, 07:53:06 PM »
Sorry to open up this thread again..... (well not really!)

Just thought I could make you smile....

I work freelance, consequently there are lots of (insidious) new agencies popping up all over trying to persuade me to register with them. One of aforementioned agencies asked me to send my passport, drivers licence and NI card. Now... I may be blonde(ish) but I'm not that much of an idiot (most of the time).

They would not accept photocopies and because I had the audacity to tell them to, 'go away' they said they were going to report me to the Home Office to start extradition proceedings.

I did ask if I could choose my method of transportation - I'd much prefer a trip by (first class) train to be extradited back to Chesterfield from Sheffield. I even told them that I was extraditing myself to Chesterfield at the weekend to do a spot of shopping!

Needless to say - I have not joined their agency!!

It made me smile anyway!!!  ;D

It's shocking - poor lad. He used the same algorithms as Google, so why aren't they closing down Google??

I heard that America have tried to extradite both Russian and Chinese people for similar computer related issues and have had no success - so why do we allow our citizens to be given away so readily?

I guess the only plus side is if the poor lad survives his ordeal he may make some lucrative deals for his stories which will hopefully set him up for life - but what a price to pay.

Thank you Alsation, and hello fly  ;)
Will you be venturing into any other 'green', 'recyclable' ideas for ebay any time soon. I feel it could be a whole new venture! ;D

Chesterfield Discussion / Re: Council promise over ‘chuggers’
« on: March 05, 2012, 08:00:36 PM »
One chugger I met was very taken aback that I said I was surprised anyone would give out their bank details to a total stranger.

I know it provides jobs for students - but - I generally like to ask if they are doing the collections for free or are they getting paid, I also like to ask how much a month they give to charity. I think it is misleading and a way of pressurising people into giving.

If people chose to donate to charity this way, I've heard the charity do not see the money raised for many months due to admin, red tape etc. I prefer to donate directly to the charity. Where are the days of the little paper envelopes that came through the door asking for change and coppers?
