I am not sure if any party actually addresses the things that matter.  I would expect most MP's are happy to have the role on their CV for future corporate work after they have gone.  Collective improvement of the country as a main priority? I would not count on it!

Age Concern is her chosen alternative, I believe, to Politics which I commend. Just step away from the 'other stuff' gracefully.

Ruthlessness? I am not sure. Honesty and integrity are my preferred choices.

OC. She is the consumate professional on Twitter.  A very caring individual!

My biggest qualm is Chesterfield needs a discernable alternative to Labour. I have no affinity to any party and have voted for the 'winning' party since I have lived in the area - 18 years or so. This includes the Lib Dems.

Always good to keep people on their toes!

Julia was frankly not up to it. Never will be. Not sure what she is trying to do now other than Julia C publicity?

WCT - Julia Cambridge was the Lib Dem Candidate who in the end became almost an also ran in the General Election.  Always tongue tied and too timid for politics.

Looks like she is still trying to damage her party further when everyone has forgotten about her.

I like to check her twitter account from time to time for a laugh to see how the 'strong woman' is doing!  She did no favours for real strong women in politics.

Thanks!

I think it is worth looking now to viable LD alternatives to maintain some competition when the next elections come around.  Currently that appears to be Tory and UKIP which does not inspire me greatly.

Not going to be a regular contributor, but will pop up now and then...

With the LibDems ending up in the General Election as almost ‘also ran’s’ and a minus 24% plummet in their share of the local vote, it is clear that the LibDems are a spent force in Chesterfield as in the majority of the country.

With this in mind, who should people now be getting behind to ensure that come the next election the result is not a foregone conclusion?

This also needs to happen now to ensure that our current MP is kept on his toes to deliver over the next term?

This is a question for Julia as she seems to have single handedly created this rather potentially worrying situation.
