I agree that it's a valuable wake-up call.  But are we waking up?
Er . . .

You know the old maxim in politics "Too little Too late" I'm afraid were in for a rough time if we have to rely on Starmer.

There's always money for vanity schemes.....they will just take the extra from the pothole repair fund, after all who's going to notice a few extra potholes!!

This presentation is a fitting ending as it's a local lads presentation of his hobby which is exploring Derbyshires Old Mines.
The land where the  building is which we use was once used by the coal board !
Tupton and indeed Derbyshire was a mining County.
So - the last email I had from Gary was to inform me he would be showing a short video and bringing some artifacts from the groups collection.
This sounds fascinating and I'm really looking forward to it.

Such a pity, I have loved coming to the talks, all so interesting...best wishes to all the team...

Please try and come to our last one. I didn't see you come in at the last one so missed having a natter.
We have a committee meeting coming up and the generally feeling of our last one was to put on a farewell buffet - so hopefully that will happen.
As I've said our treasurer needs to stand down due to ill health and his wife is also quite poorly.
No one to take over that job.
If I fell ill and couldn't do the secretaries job there's no one to stand in. As a back up I share all communications with the chair person so in the short term it would tick along.
But - we wouldn't have enough bodies on the presentation night to run it.
It's how it goes these days with groups isn't it!

I've noticed Hagg hill between Tupton and Grassmoor is back to it's usual self.

Even though they re-surfaced part of it the rest is still shocking.

Not 100% but I seem to think it is down for a resurface.
If I can dig out where I've read that I'll post it!

It's no secret I don't like him he's like a petulant child - but I am wondering if he's dabbling with a bit of psychology.
In other words trying to 'wake Up' the European leaders in sorting out their defences??

I don't understand it either. This first one was complete flop. There must be money 'somewhere' to fund this new venture??
