About Angela Rayner, one has to ask the million dollar question,

How does an ill educated pregnant 16 year old with no qualifications, that ends up being a poorly paid carer, suddenly be worth £4:5 million.

As far as I know she hasn't inherited any money, she hasn't won the pools or the lottery....no instead she decided to go into politics.

Same as my old dad used to say "You never see a politician on a pushbike".

Remember a while ago I told you of the slogan "It's only a promise till it's delivered"?

Saturday I ordered something to be delivered and the owners claim on the advert was "If you don't receive it within two days you get it free", it was ordered Saturday morning and it was delivered today, after a brief phone call with them my money is being refunded.

This is someone who obviously doesn't know fully how parcel delivery companies are run, either that or the parcel company reimburses them for late deliveries either way it's no way to run a company.
If I ran that company and my manager made a bold claim like that they would be looking for another job.

Parcel delivery firms have shot themselves in the foot over the years to the point they ARE making promises they can't deliver.

By the end of the Parliament everyone will have a valid I.D. card proving they are entitled to be here and work.

This will work perfectly..........if you live in Narnia!

It's not  the workers that are at fault, it's the unscrupulous bosses. If you're a good boss and has a factory employing say 100 staff and they are registered employees all on the minimum wage of £10 p/h after an eight hour shift your wage bill will be £1,000.
If on the other hand your an unscrupulous boss who sets on cheap labour who will literally live at work and be paid about £4 p/h you can already see the problems.

Since they've closed part of the road near the crooked spire whose brilliant idea was it to divert the traffic through Church way.

I caught the bus back home a couple of days ago and it was no exaggeration to say it took the bus 5 minutes just to get onto Cavendish street.
I also notice they've re surfaced under Storforth lane bridge, I bet it won't stop it flooding though.

The diversion is/was actually via Piccadilly, but the signs got moved by someone outside KwikFit, and nobody bothered to put them back up, so all and sundry have been cutting through Church Way getting on my boobs whilst i'm trying to earn a crust!

Since the cyber attack on Jaguar Land rover a few weeks ago they have had to close production. This in turn has had a knock on effect on those companies that supply spares to JLR and they in turn have been laying people off.
I'm all for the Government stepping in to help pay wages whilst it is sorted {it was done during covid on a much bigger scale} but one thing I don't agree with is the idea going round Parliament at the moment is for the Government to keep these spares companies going by BUYING all the JLR spares using our money and hanging on to them till JLR are back up and running and selling to JLR, this is a recipe for disaster.

If I were JLR and this happened I would turn round to the government and say we don't want what you've got. we would then start again with our suppliers on a new, more favourable contract to us, we will only buy the government's stock at a VASTLY reduced price.

So......speaking of illegal immigrants how's the "One in one out policy doing?"

So far last week one thousand in.........47 out.

Maths was not my strong subject at school, it would appear it isn't the governments either!

Nice one Fly (y)
It's a good idea and popular currently.
We frequent Liverpool having found a hotel on the Docks we like and visit one our foster children who live there now.
We enjoy the steady walks down the side of the Mersey and a coffee stop.
I've had Sciatica issues since June but it's finally done one during this month
Infact doing what old people do   :))

Had a week all inclusive in Benidorm beginning of August, then up to South West Scotland coast via Berwick Upon Tweed on a ten day tour in the motorhome.

Did I tell you all I've bought a motorhome?
24ft long, 2.7Litre diesel automatic. Solar panels, shower, toilet, all mod cons (y)
