I can't grumble because of the heatwaves I've only had to trim my hedges twice this year and mowing the grass is a doddle as it's hardly growing, I have a large back garden so anything that saves my poor back gets my vote.

Now we will start getting rain and the lawn will almost certainly shoot up like a wheat field, but the upside is it's getting darker sooner and that means the screaming kids are off the streets sooner plus the little darlings will be back at school next week, don't get me wrong I like children but I couldn't eat a whole one!!!

Been this Friday and there were 8 stalls, not the bustling market town they are hoping to re-create far from it.

Noticed in last week's D.T. that there's a proposal to turn the old Eyres store into {yes you've guessed it} flats. As the item says, nowhere to park for residents traffic noise and wall to wall fighting and vomiting on weekends not somewhere I'd pick to live.

Only found out this week that {apparently} the Sandpiper hotel is being used to house immigrants, we will have to start looking for large dinghy's coming up the Rother and Hipper.

Now the comeback kid has been sacked {again} Mandelson has come and gone more times than a boomerang and I don't think he's done yet.

I'm not siding with anyone over this but the talk about Epstein and his "friends" and what they knew or didn't know seems to imply that just because you knew him you were "in on it". Admittedly when all this came out anyone with any inkling should have dropped him like a hot potato, in Mandelson's case he obviously didn't so conclusions have been drawn as to whether he was in the know or not.

It's a question of whose books are going to be out first his or Rayners!

So she's gone then.....and NO ONE is surprised.

She resigned because Starmer was too weak to sack her
That's the trouble with politics, everyone has "got something" on someone so it makes running a government, and showing your authority, difficult. Everybody knows where each others bodies are buried and to risk even chastising someone can rebound on you, this is the main reason cr*p politicians get to stay in office and that to me is a bl**dy lot.

Anyway the deputy P.M. resigned so why is there a need to completely change round the front bench, luckily this will have come as a huge relief to Ed Ball's missus Yvette Cooper, she had the poison chalice of foreign secretary overseeing the migrant situation but she managed to wriggle out of that hole so some other poor smuck now has the task.

They interviewed Farage the other day and basically asked him if his party is ready to run the country and he said no as his team thus far hadn't enough experience, but when your setting on, among other people, Tory rejects it will just end up being a mish mash of the old guard, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that some of these "defectors" turn out to be stalking horses sent to infiltrate his party.

As for Angela Rayner's future.....Firstly she won't starve to death on the streets, a few H.I.G.N.F.Y. episodes, I'm a celeb at Christmas, guest appearances here and there, a book {don't forget the book}
My only hope is as time rolls on she'll get herself some dress sense....... I mean who dresses her Stevie Wonder!!!

Called in town Friday I think there were just 5 stalls on the big market.
Chesterfield was once a bustling market town, I don't care how much they spend doing it up it will never reach the amount of stallholders to warrant such extravagance.

She's been knocked out of yet another championship. She is blaming everyone but herself for the poor performance.

I've drawn the {obvious} conclusion that she's just cr*p at it, even paying the best coaches money can buy doesn't get the wins.

When she won the U.S. open in 2021 I said to the wife then "That it was just a fluke", and I've been proved right time and time again.
Britain struggles to produce a champion {of any gender}, alright I suppose Murray, but some countries like the U.S. champions are coming off a production line at a rate of knots.

You can always tell when she's playing if it's not going her way she will invent an injury.

They are moaning about these vehicles "Taking their picture" and are up in arms about it, yet they don't seem to realise they are being filmed EVERYDAY.

C.C.T.V. on many streets they walk down, in shops they shop in not to mention the screening they have to go through such as an airport yet not a murmur.

I am one of those who dislike having my photo taken yet I have a passport/drivers licence/bus pass... I was even on our wedding photos!

If one of these people ever have the misfortune to have to visit their granny in hospital because she has been mugged and had her bag stolen containing her pension I guarantee the first words out of their mouths when speaking to the police would be "Was there any C.C.T.V.?"

These people want to stop bellyaching about what is in reality a safety measure.
