Stood watching the guy fitting 4 new tyres to my car at home this afternoon (still loads of tread left, but rubber splitting after 5 years

) and the phone rang. It was someone from a company called Fast/First Call Solutions (?) so, as I'd nothing better to do 'strung him on'. Although I haven't taken out any loans, only have one Credit Card (which is paid up in full each month) he still said I qualified for a refund. I even told him that I keep accurate records of my spending and ensure that the correct amount is taken from my bank each month.
When he asked which credit card I had I told him that originally it was an EGG card but it had been bought out by Barclaycard. He then informed me that EGG were one of the banks that had been fined for mis-selling!
Anyway he promised it wouldn't cost me a penny, even if they were unsuccessful, and someone is calling me back on Tuesday.
How on earth, after giving him all these facts, can he still consider that I may/do qualify for a refund? q?
