As I type someone is cutting down the tall trees a couple of doors away - that is where all the birds sit who come to feed in my garden.  :'(

The birds do use my Laylandi's (but they are not really high ones as we keep them not too far above head height) which are near the feeders, the smaller ones pop in and out for food in the really cold weather.
We used to see all kinds of birds flying down and up into the trees for food - it was one of their watching posts for us going out to re-fill.
really sad to see them go although I know they were a bit high  :'(
