Are the government implementing a window tax?
« on: October 09, 2013, 10:49:06 AM »
There is rumour going round that the coalition are to introduce a tax on the number of windows in a house - witness a new house currently being built on the old Saltergate football ground.

Don't believe the rumour? What do you think they are doing at this house?
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Strange that Pete I have remarked on first seeing the property that I wouldn't buy it in the position it is.
The other day as we passed my hubby remarked about the window being bricked up and we thought it strange
A window tax - I don't know but nothing would surprise me  ;D

The window below/downstairs is also bricked up. Not so visible on Pete's photo.
I've been grinning at it for the past few weeks. What the flapjack is that all about. Foul looking place  :-?

Totally different bricks and a straight joint looks like it may be a temporary measure for security maybe waiting for windows .

Hubby seems to think there used to be a window tax many years ago, whilst I seem to think that in Italy many windows were blocked because of a taxing? Mind you that's drawing on my memory from a few years ago  ;)
