Minor hit and run. Bolsover area.
« on: July 05, 2013, 07:29:50 PM »
Apparently someone has had a slight collision with my mothers car. She wasn't in it at the time. They drove off. She's facing the bill for repairs.
If you see a neighbours vehicle with a slight unexplained dent in the Bolsover area.
PM me.

Report it to the police; leaving the scene of an accident is a no-no.

I've only just been informed of this. It happened earlier or yesterday. The car was parked outside my brothers.
He lives in a dead end cul-de-sac. Mums been to VW. £500 repair.
Someone in that dead end knows some thing. Will be up in the morning with the camera.

If you need it, there's a good (i.e. inexpensive) body shop just off Sheffield Road, round the corner from the Spa shop at the end of School Road.

The driver of the other car has been in touch with mum. First off she was a bit gobby and said the car didn't need a new bumper.
Mum explained the guy at VW said it would, the clips are broken/bent, the 'padding' is crushed etc.
Mum also explained she didn't spend that much on a car to have a mend it ish job done on it.
The other driver has given mum her insurance details  ;D
£602.xx bill. Plus mum gets a courtesy car whilst hers is fixed. Go mum, cant fault her  ;)

Hopefully.  ;)
TBH I wouldn't expect anything less. It's not like mum doesn't pay her insurance or is blagging a false claim.
