Chesterfield Lad Found Hanged in Young Offender Institution
« on: January 29, 2012, 01:09:31 PM »
Story in the papers about a lad from Chesterfield who was found hanged in a young offender institution despite having previously been identified as at risk of suicide or self-harm.

"Jake Hardy, 17, was one of two teenage deaths in prison last week. He was found hanging in his cell at a young offender institution in Wigan and died on Tuesday."

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Very sad he must have been in a very dark place to have done that. Really sorry for his family

According to people who live at Holmewood, in custody for that but also had other cases impending. Obviously a shame he took his own life but I hope he isn't made out to be the victim

Yes, always the problem of the victim being sidelined by sympathy for the perps situation if they had bad upbringing, etc.

But still not right.

But gossip can be just as bad. For instance I read yesterday about Man U fans spitting on the Hillsborough/Liverpool monument thingy - turns out to be malicious gossip.
