I was watching a programme last night and in there was a statement that said there are approximately 1.2m uninsured drivers on Britains roads. If the DVLA have this number, they must also know who they are and where they live etc. And lets be right, if they dont have insurance, they probably dont have tax or MOT.
So why not just go around and uplift the car and impound it regardless if its essential or not. If they can prove they had insurance at the time of the removal, they get the car back and all fees are waived. If not, charge them as they normally do. I believe this would bring down the premiums of us that are covered.
Its not rocket science.
1.2m uplifts will keep them busy for a while
And the same sort of applies to this
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-26654001£5bn in fraudulent claims. Again, they have the number so they have the information to reach that number which means they also know which areas are claiming for work that was never done or cheaper alternatives used.
Something seriously needs to be done. In this case, its mine and your money being spent and we really shouldnt stand for it.
And while they're at it, name and shame the lot of them - none of this 'cannot be named for legal reasons' b***ocks
