Thai restaurant
« on: May 26, 2012, 09:37:57 AM »
We have been given a voucher for a meal for two at a Thai place in chessy. Problem is my hubby as I have said before isn't adventurous at all with food - do they do English food selection there?

I just downloaded a couple of their menus and there's no English food there I'm afraid.

But, I would agree with Chris, if it's not costing you, give it a go.

If it doesn't work out, call at a chippie on the way home. ;)
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Thanks Pete I will do the same and download menu --- and yes we probably would end up at a chippy.
Can't think why she chose Thai, unless it's her favourite she's an Asian lady so spicey food will be 'in' for her.

Re-vamped this thread just to say we did actually go last night as it's dragged on for so long. The reason being it was a gift done over the internet and there were problems when we tried to book.
Anyway, all sorted so we had a taxi as I'm not driving much (too uncomfortable with back).
Enjoyed the meal very much. It really is lovely in there isn't it, very friendly helpful staff as well.
Hubby chose carefully as he's a meat and two veg chap, but he did enjoy what he ordered.
I suffered for it after though, not taxi chaps fault, lovely friendly bloke, but I should have taken a pillow for my back.

CC he played a bit safe - chose soup (which was a bit hot  - so he drank more wine lol) followed by chicken stir fry.
I had the veg in filo parcels and a beef curry yummy.
he did say he would like to go again??
We will see  ;)
