On the Derbyshire Times website they are appealing for information after Steven Smith, from Staveley, was involved in a collision with a man in a 4x4. This resulted in Steven, riding a low-powered motorbike, breaking his back in three places.
But instead of helping the lad as he lay in the road, the driver stopped, hurled abuse at him and drove away.
Unfortunately the DT doesn't tell us when or where this happened.
