Do you think honesty is fading?
« on: May 29, 2013, 04:21:02 PM »
I have taken my two watches into the cabin which is now used by the Market Hall traders. Both needed new batteries - only they didn't!
The trader handed me one back telling me he had cleaned the workings and didn't think it needed a new battery the other one did.
The watch is working perfectly after several hours.
Honesty in this case wasn't dead.
Thank you  :)

Sadly I think it may be. People out to make a quick quid.
Me and Our_Lass think more long term though. Look after your customers, they will come back.
We don't want to make a quick killing in a week and disappear, we want to make a living of it.

Big up the Market Hall traders. They get a thumbs up from me   MD   ;)

Bad series of events with a big tyre company this week, and my taxi. ;-)
I've called on 3 separate days, spoke to 3 separate guys, and all I get is bull****  ::)

They finally got my taxi on the ramps today, guess what, they can't do the work needed.
This is after my Boss had called round and explained what work needed doing to it.
ATS, Sheffield Rd. Sorry. 5 people work there, 3 are off on holiday, including the boss.
1 of the two remaining staff is Ok, nice bloke.
The other looks like Tyrone Dobbs and TBH, he's fine, but talked to me like I'm an idiot.
Sorry, but that was how It felt.

I've got it booked in Monday somewhere else.

When I was 'in the trade' - 30 years ago - we used ATS and they were always very good, since leaving the motor trade I've used Courier Tyres a mobile tyre fitting outfit. He used to work for ATS and I can recommend him to anyone. Keen prices gods tyres and excellent service.

So that's where God gets his tyres from! Worth knowing... ;)
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.
