Dora, the people to see if you might have issues, OCD etc
« on: August 22, 2013, 08:22:08 PM »
I came across this site after doing a bit of research on self harming and other mental disorders.
Just thought I'd share it.

I had a link via Derbyshire for this one day this week. It's the unseen illness and surprising how many people suffer from it. Good link Fly.

I'll be totally honest here OC
I commented on a post on another forum and thought I'd share the information I found in 2 minutes after a google search.
The other forum isn't the issue.
I think it's the fact I took time and answered the posters question. Or at least tried to help them.

@OC My daughter has blocked me on facebook.  I can't even find her profile. (I noticed your reply the other day.)
Our_Lass still has access to my daughters FB account though. I think my daughter has forgot this, so I know she's not deleted her FB. Gawd knows why she's blocked me. Spoke to her in town about 3 weeks ago and thought we were OK  :?

17 years of torment. Why me, LOL. Like I said, I've got friends and family and Our_Lass ;)

I suffer with depression, sometimes a lot worse than others. most of it due to years of abuse and then not having a good support network from my family..that has taken a lot of years to be able to talk about it and kind of move on.
I think that charities like DORA are a great way for people with all kinds of mental illness to be bale to go in and have a chat, I have a cousin who i think uses this service or has at least been told to as he suffers with agrophobia and depression. It shouldn't be hidden from people its an unseen illness..I have suffered for the best part of 10 years diagnosed but a lot more unseen...Its not somethng we can just "get over" either and anyone that says this to me i just tell to eff off.. (one person did)

Emmz I know many brave people like you and it shows strong character.
In this life you either let it ruin the rest of your life or move on.
You are right to move on and with help from people/organisations such as this one -  you will do well in your life x

So here I was, typing a post about todays incident, just about done typing and pressed a wrong button. Rant gone  ::)
If I wasn't pi$$.. off before, I really am now  :-X

Sat on Elder Way earlier today, saw a couple of people walking toward me. 2nd or 3rd glance, I realised it's my son and my ex partner. As I opened the car door to get out and say 'Hello son', a customer appeared from the opposite direction and stood at the car door, grinning like a pillock. How can I open the door when you're stood there idiot  ::)
By the time I'd opened the door, son and ex had walked past. They must have seen me, or been aware of my existence on a taxi rank. I've been sat there 16 years or more !!

I don't blame my son. he's been brought up by his mum.

What does nark me, they didn't want to question me about the last incident.

Kids, love you both loads, I can't take anymore more of this.
When you don't get a xmas pressie, ask your mother why before asking me where the dosh is !
