Paging Cllr Slack

I notice there are a number of stakes in the park without trees attached. Are they awaited of have the trees been broken/vandalised?
Ps no political agenda just curious

Unfortunately there have been some trees vandalised. There is going to be more police presence in the park via them sharing an office in the village hall to make up for them having to close their shop on the green.

Slightly off topic I notice that, of the nine trees planted in the 'monkey park on Chester Street this year, five have died - presumably due to a lack of watering?

Surely when  the council/sub-contractors plane saplings they follow up with watering them at regular intervals, especially with the hot dry summer we've had?
