Thought we'd pass on a couple of hours so visited Bakewell, again

Not a lot changes, same old same expensive charity shops

The place has charm though, it also has a chippy that's not to be missed.
http://bakewellfishandchips.co.uk/Our_Lass asked for, "Mini fish on mushy peas twice please."
The guy
filled a tray with mushy and plonked the fish on top and put it on the counter in front of me.
"Same again but only a quarter of the peas for me." Our_Lass said.
He laughed and placed a scoop of mushy in a tray and plonked the fish on top.
"Can I have a bit of curry sauce on top of the fish", Our_Lass said. "I don't mind paying for it."
He laughed, "I'm not charging you for that, do you want some?" looking at me.
I was already tucking into the peas with the little fork off the counter, they were starting to overflow onto the paper under the tray.
"Here you go." he said, producing a larger fork, come spoon, from under the counter.
I declined the offer of the free curry, thanked him, and took the larger eating utensil from him.
What a thoroughly nice pleasant guy. The food was also bang on, and reasonably priced.
Not the cheapest, not the dearest, but gets my vote
