Anyone switching off their Lights
« on: August 03, 2014, 07:45:19 PM »
Tomorrow night between 10.00pm - 11.00pm and light a candle.
To commemorate the start of WW1 and pay respect to those who fought.
I think it's a lovely idea

Hope it doesn't coincide with a Fire Service strike

We will definitely switch the lights off and as for using a candle when I was younger power cuts were the norm and we always had a store of candles to use.
They are safe enough if used with care.

We did.
We got home about 9.45pm and I bustled hubby about telling him the lights were going out at 10.pm.
We didn't have much to eat before going out as we had a late lunch so I had left some sarnies in the fridge for him for supper.
Two ham, two with just butter on to eat with his chicken drummers and a tomato.

We watched TV and then I heard a groan - he had eaten everything apart from the two sarnies with just butter on  :))
Well I couldn't flipping see what I was eating could i he moaned  :))
