The LibDems

Looking a bit grim for the LibDems, the press are leading with the story that Nick Clegg is facing defeat as an MP. Also, they are losing their core supporters because of Clegg going in to coalition with the Nasties and reneging on tuition fees - and locally we have a PPC who had to complain about bullying by a LibDem who used to be quite high up in the party, but now is a proven bully that has brought the whole local party into disrepute.

I have no real axe to grind with the LibDems, but it does look as though they are going to get a hammering in May.

I also saw this on FB today, another sympton of the lack of sympathy/support:

Maybe someone can tell me what positive part the LibDems actually played during the coalition?
They might well have not been there - just a nothing party, little wonder they are below UKIP in the predicted polls.
Good Riddance to Nick Clegg and hopefully he will take Cameroon down with him

In fairness to them, they stopped some of Cameron's nasty plans - ie it would have been worse if they weren't in coalition. But then, you could argue that Cameron would not have become prime minister had they not formed the coalition.

Either way, it looks like curtains for the LibDems this time around, especially in Chesterfield.
