A joint and a pint please

Noticed on the front of the Derbyshire Times that the landlord of the Miners Arms, New Whittington is now in the slammer for the next 12 months. The landlord even once paid his staff by giving them Cannabis and it was also possible too order some to take away. Looks like Chesterfield is catching up with Sheffield on this department.

I've only seen the headlines on the DT as yet WCT but will look at it later.
What kind of staff did he employ to even 'want' to be paid in this way.

I think Chesterfield has been  maybe an 'undercover place' for drugs in some instances and it was common knowledge that the dealers would wait outside the senior school in our village to sell their stuff.
I'm so pleased I grew up in the 60's !

It's not just pubs where you can get drugs. I remember a few years ago there was a dodgy market trader who was selling drugs.. along with knock off gardening tools ! :o
He also got caught & spent some time in one of lizzies houses ! ;D

My street corner is popular spot for some hence why I'm hoping to move soon.

Well the photograph of him's a bit scary, but reading the report does it mean that because he supplied the drugs to mainly friends that this would be a lesser offence?
