If they reach their sell by date and are still on our shelves.
We bin them

We have rotisserie cooked chickens for sale.
When they get to the end of their holding life (4 hours)
We bin them

We have Chicken sandwiches for sale.
If they reach their sell by date and are still on our shelves.
We bin them


Go into Morrisons.
They have fresh chickens for sale.
If they reach their sell by date and are still on their shelves.
They cook them!
If they are still there at the end of their holding time.
They carve them up and put them into Sandwiches!
If they reach their sell by date and are still on their shelves.
They bin them.
Same chicken but 4-5 days after we would have binned it.

That’s why they can keep costs down and appear cheaper.
And it’s perfectly legal

Which is why I would shop there all the time Jon - it is good to see a major retailer not just going for profit above everything else. In fact as things are at the moment it also qualifies as a very brave decision.

Unfortunately my wife won't let me do the shopping - I am only allowed to buy lager and cigarettes.
