Surgeries advertises in Derbyshire Times (formerly Advertiser but we found it wasn't getting delivered everywhere), forum advertised on  community notice boards, council website, tweeted by labourchezzy. Open to suggestions as to what else we can do.

Hasland and St Leonards Community forum
Approx size of the 2 areas around 10,000 people
Members of the public attending the last meeting about 50
about half of one percent.

They discussed Youth services (DCC) Traffic and Highways (DCC)
Then in open session they discussed a bus shelter (DCC) a footpath (DCC) and a payphone.
Admittedly they then spoke about Hasland park, village hall and Spital cemetery.
Oh yes and decided who would go to the council junkets.

Is there any wonder no one turns up?
I'm not an Alcoholic. They go to meetings
I'm a drunk I go to the pub

I had a look on the council's notice board outside the town hall this afternoon, nothing about community forums etc.

They tend to be published in local area notice boards, which area do you live in?

Unfortunately one of the councillors is seriously ill and the other one is his wife. Neighbouring ones are covering case work but at the moment you won't be seeing as much of your councillors as other wards.
