In posh surroundings like that Flyboy, I would have expected pâté de foie gras and a bottle of Bolly... ;)

Not that I'm jealous - I love fixing washing machines...  :-[
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Worth the visit, but about £11 p/person for full entry if your not NT members.
Old Hall, New Hall, and the gardens have seperate prices to visit them.
It works out cheaper to pay the full fee for full entry to all, and visit all in one go.
I'd not pay £6 just to see inside the Old Hall alone. Or £5.50 just for the gardens.
Photography is allowed, but no flash, hence the dark indoor pictures.
New car parking, shop, restaurant, toilet block, baby changing facility etc
If you've not been, consider going  ;)

Review over  :)

Oh, the nest in Our_Lass's hand, we found it on the floor under a tree in the rear gardens.
Either the birds didn't build it securely and it fell out, or some 'expletive' had pulled it out !!

We keep meaning to go, your photos have convinced me we really should.

BTW - you really must eat all your crusts or you'll never have curly hair...

It's certainly coming along. It'll look great when they get the roof on.
