Went down to the Aquarius Club and had a few beers (as you did).
Said to my friends "I've had enough I'm off".
Walked home.
Unlocked the door and took off my shoes so as not to wake missus.
Got halfway up the stairs and the landing light came on.
Mum said to me "Michael you are married and haven't lived here for 5 years, go home".

My daftest thing was retiling our kitchen.  Took off the cooker switch, no problem.  When the time came to measure the tile I needed, i stupidly put my tape measure up behind it.  I know the live was on the other side but I didnt bank on it arc'ing that far.  I wont do that again.

My brothers girlfriend a few years ago:  My brother came home from work to find 2 lumps under a teatowel on the worksurface.  He lifted it up and it was 2 eggs.  She got home and asked what they were there for.  Her reply was that because it was Easter she wanted them to hatch so she could have chicks.  She isnt blonde!

Be nice to win at something, even though it is being a complete idiot.  I did have other things on my mind as my OH was in hospital for an operation so it was going to be a surprise that the kitchen was redecorated when she finally got home.

Our_Lass told me a story about her mother from years ago.
Her mother was boiling up a pan of 'packet soup' for the 4 kids. Whilst doing other motherly jobs.
Then realised she'd not been stiring it as often as she should.
Ran across the kitchen, grabbed the pan and a sieve, and poured it down the sink. Oops !
Then realised 4 kids haven't got any soup, just the lumps  :D

Many years ago I parked my car in town, completely forgot about it and caught the bus home.   ::)

I've done that too!   :-[
