Think Chesterfield on this tour may have been one I went to (Freddie & the Dreamers replace Joe Brown according to the Bradford website)

Any of the more mature members of this forum remember how frequently these multi-act concerts took place in the early to mid sixties? The best info I can find is the Bradford site but that is only of real interest if Chesterfield and Bradford were included on the same tour.

I presume it wasn't until the "British Invasion" of USA that the nature of concerts changed and larger venues were built for the bigger names to play full concerts.

Can't remember how frequently the shows were.  The only one I remember seeing at the ABC featured The Everly Brothers <3

I saw Cliff Richard around 1962, then Gerry and The Pacemakers sometime after, Ben E King was on one of those shows too but I can't recall which one.  Happy days! ;D

I saw Cliff on that visit too .... but not at the ABC.   A small group of us skived school and found our way into the Portland Hotel where The Shadows and Cliff were staying.   :D
