Sad news Emma.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Sad news Emma. as you know I'm going through the same thing with my Mum.
She died in Turkey on holiday saturday morning. Her partner (my stepfather) is home, and in pieces - ok one minute, crying the next.
I'm bearing up reasonably well because I know my Mum was in a happy place, had been going to Marmaris for last 25 yrs, and was with many friends. Furthermore she was in no pain when she died - which is my main reason to almost help in coming to terms with her death - i.e. I'm so glad she did not suffer.
Apparently the locals also looked after My Mum and George(her partner) incredibly. Probably better than here.
The downside is I did not get to see Mum before she died. We may have to wait a couple of weeks for Mums body to come home.
However lots of her Facebook friend continue to send photos which were only up to a couple of days or so before she died, and I'm saving them in a special folder.
Sorry I'm crying now.....
Ok , remember the good times Emma, best of luck, and my thoughts are with you at this sad time.
Tony xx

thanks all, he had been suffering with cancer and was riddled with it at the end, heart stomach and throat.
He was a fighter and always was. Sad thing was i hadnt seen him for 7 years due to stuff happening.
I loved him until the end regardless of how things turned out and it feels like part of my heart went with him.
Scimitar sorry for your loss, i never really knew what to say for these things really and now its happened....
I hope that both your mum and my grandad are in a better place
