Well I popped down onto Clarence Road, to get a photo for one of my sites, just as the torch turned the corner and headed down the hill and must say it was the biggest non-event I have ever witnessed...  ::)

Big crowds in Boza & Calow as well as Town. Not over enthusiastic about the Olympics but getting to see the torch relay is a one-off for the kids (as well as anyone born since 1948)

Correct. Think the people in CR1 were connected with the Freedom of Entry of the 575 Field Squadron thet we have today.

one day, if you want some really good views, get Mark or Harry to show you how you get to the very top roof of the building.
Pity I can't get access to the archives for Pete there are some good photos of the town I took from up there in the early 80's and also some photos I took of Queen's Park from the roof of the Old AGD.

Brother was doing some of the barriers etc for this, he tells me some people ready with camera's missed it - cos it was on the bus, I didn't know either that they only go short distances - maybe cos not that interested!

Me neither - I thought they ran all the way and was feeling sorry for the poor sods having to run up Stonedge and Slack Hill on the way to Matlock!!!!  8)
