Floods in Chesterfield

Just read there are floods at the bottom of Duckmanton hill, with three cars stuck.

Watch out if you're driving in that area.

Not raining at the mo, so had a quick drive around a few areas that flooded last time - rivers are swollen badly, but no flooding I can see.

It's Tom Lane, not ducky Hill. Our_Lass drove through it earlier  :))
Luckily she got through it  8)

Hate to think what it's like now. About 3ft deep ?

Arkwright Arms, turn onto Inkersal Rd, 1st right turn. Goes up to Ducky Hotel  ;)

Its the one just past Duckmanton Hotel that goes down to road that connects Staveley to Arkwright Arms (bottom of Duckmanton hill).

Police are advising for everyone to stay away from the Meadowhall area tomorrow. The river is close to bursting its banks and still rising. Incase you were planning a visit to Meadowhall, please avoid it instead

Spent the day in Bradford and surrounding area today, very flooded roads in some areas, left about 2.30 to come home, expecting about 1 hrs drive straight down M1, got home about 5.00 after barely doing 30mph at any stretch.....basta*d. Took all day to do what I normally do in a couple of hours.
