Over 90% of all computer problems can be traced back to the interface between the keyboard and the chair

You're surprised?
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Whilst I basically agree, I'm not sure about this line - "Typical stupid rubbish from government bodies". I tend to think "Typical bullying by multinational companies".

Not sure about that Chris. I remember years ago a woman in Scotland got into a scrap with McDonalds because she had a small shop and her name was McDonald.

Or is that an urban myth?

urban myth Pete, exaggerated by the media.

I think the larger conglomerates have placed unreasonable demands, IMHO, but that's their business. But the Olympic organisation, and our Govt, could say no, they didn't, they bend over backwards to please these large organisations because they want their money, so as always, its the little man that loses out.
The butcher made to take down his sausage display made to look like Olympic rings, the underwear shop that had to take its display down.....well trading standards, and their council bosses have nothing better to do with our taxes, other than use it to fund the great white elephant.

I read this article a couple of days ago, and linked it to the John Terry case, another example of the state trying to tell people what they can and can't say.
How ludicrous that tens of thousands of pounds of public money was spent taking this man to court for something that has a maximum penalty equivalent to about 1 hours pay to him, and a case that was never going to win, a case brought by an off duty police officer, because the "victim" wasn't aware of being a victim.
And of the three words that the case centered around, 2 can not be published because they are traditionally seen as offensive, though recently a court decided that a thug using the F word against the police is not offensive as its in such common use. But the word that could be published, the word black, is offensive because the law has decided that it can offend people........
I personally think that the vast majority of Brits, including Terry, are NOT racist but the PC brigade have to throw their weight around.
It was in clear view this week on the left leaning BBC who decided that Terry was a racist, whatever the court said, particularly on Newsnight the other night. After debating the racist issue around Terry, they then went on to discuss how all footballers are low life thugs for using the kind of language that is common place on a football pitch. Ironically at the same time, on the other side, they were showing Mrs Browns Boys, where every other word is f***in' so alright for the BBC to broadcast it, but not for footballers to use it.
Such hypocrisy is everywhere amongst the PC brigade, preaching how we should all be tolerant, but refuse to tolerate anything they don't like.

And next time our useless politicians get involved in a meaningless war that has nothing to do with us, in the name of freedom and liberation, someone ought to point them in the direction of the country they rule.

And another thing, how come the little man who has paid taxes to fund this nonsense is getting kicked off the roads for special Olympic lanes for all the competitors and officials. Glad I don't live in London, complete boll***s how little respect the authorities have for the general public.
