London Olympics
« on: July 23, 2012, 09:07:33 PM »
All joking aside, do you think we are in with a good chance of some medals?  If so what sports?

Im looking forward to seeing the Beach Volleyball (womens), Diving (womens), Swimming (womens)...see the pattern?

I reckon we are in with a pretty good chance in Diving, Rowing, Sailing and Cycling and Heptathlon (Go Jess Ennis!!)

I know some of you arent that bothered and thats fair enough, im not particularly excited, i think im more intrigued as to if we can make it better than the others.  Im not talking about the Security and Tickets farces, just the actual games and opening and closing ceremonies.

I hope we can show the world that the UK can do things properly, i have my doubts though so I hope im proven wrong.

We will soon see.
Im a bomb technician.  If you see me running, try and keep up

Cycling: We should win gold in the Men's road race (Mark Cavendish) and the Time Trial (Bradley Wiggins)
We should get another 3 in the velodrome and one in BMX.
3 in athletics
4 in swimming
2 in rowing
2 in sailing
1 in gymnastics
3 in boxing

Therefore at least 20
Think they will have to go some to match the Beijing total of 47 in total though

Roll on 9 oclock - not a sports fan, but I'm looking forwards to the opening ceremony. :)
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Steel industry, gone.
Mining industry, gone.
Privatisation ripe.

This is what England was, the greed took over and made us what we are today. Shot.

Yes I'm watching it. Stunning show, but makes me feel so sad at the mo  :(

Our_Lass got bored with it, so we changed channel  ;)
Watching a 'Take out' programme instead  :)) LOL
Quite funny  ;)

May I add though, respect to the thousands of volunteers that took part in the opening ceremony.
Without them, there wouldn't be the TV extravaganza  ;)

Well done people  :)
Credit where it's due  ;)
