The only person I have heard criticise it.

As long as we dont have a long drawn out spectacle of "is it a he or a she or a heshe" for them.  Thats was disgraceful for the poor lass from South Africa..

Hear, hear!  And in my opinion Danny Boyle did an excellent job.   

I did read a bit of criticism in one of the papers today, but it was more along the lines of "Why didn't he include any Shakespeare?"  I expect, given the timescale there were some difficult choices about what to include.

Who amongst any of us could have staged something like that?

I'm sure there was a bit of Shakespeare in the opening ceremony, but cant remember what it was.
