Accident at the Chesterfield Hotel
« on: July 30, 2012, 07:29:43 PM »
There seemed to have been an accident on the little roundabout by the Chesterfield Hotel at about 11am today :. Police cars and ambulance (and a taxi) and someone lying by the roundabout but obviously having been made "comfortable". No panic at all. Does anyone know if the person, maybe a pedestrian was/is ok? :(

Saw this on the DT website:

A pedal cyclist has been taken to hospital after he was in collision with a car in Chesterfield this morning.

The man was rushed to Chesterfield Royal Hospital after being in collision with a Vauxhall Vectra at the Brimington Road roundabout near Chesterfield College at about 10.30am.

Could be it.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

A taxi driver/mate of mine, drove past just after the incident, and told me of it a short while later.
He told me the 'car' involved was a private hire vehicle driven by a 'Tower' employee.
I haven't heard anything else as regards the incident all day though.
