Both  8)  Also stupid, rude, arrogant and not in touch with reality.
Certainly wouldn't want to be face to face with either.

Side line: Have you ever done Jury service ?

No.
(I've often wondered how it would work as I understand you can't refuse, but being a sole trader, what about all the business you would lose while doing it?)

@K4 I have, hence my view on Judges, I've never stood before one, but wouldn't trust one.
Far to many cases of bad decisions by them over the years to give me any confidence in them.

Not sure how a sole trader would go about claiming lost earnings by sitting in court every morning for 2 week,
only to be sent home after 3 hour cos your not needed. Come back tomorrow  ::)
Which you 'have' to do.

Judges I have seen in actions, as my work occasionally involves courts have been quite sharp and sensible. Like many professions it is the idiots that get the publicity and the one who went gentle on the burglar wants sacking.

I was sent home 4 or 5 days before dinner time. Not needed.
So I went to the pit and did a night shift.
The court paid by cheque for all the days I'd 'not' been at work. 2 week, LOL

Though I might be imagining it, it was about 20 years ago  ::)

I was called for Jury service when my daughter was pre-school age. I wrote a letter asking to be excused because of her age and the fact she would have to stay with my mum for hours each day. I wasn't sure how unsettling this would be for my daughter to be away from me for so long over two weeks.
I was excused
