PPI claim companies
« on: November 16, 2012, 07:11:28 PM »
Having bombarded by them so much I wondered if I am actually owed any PPI back.

However, having watched a money programme this week it seems like it's not difficult to do it yourself so considering companied want 30 - 40% cut tat seems a bit of a rip-off.

Just get in touch with a company like Experian and they send you all the info online of all your credit cards, loans, phone contracts etc. Only seen a sample so far as I'm awaiting PIN but it looks detailed.

Doesn't look too difficult to chase up though. Think they even have a sample claim letter.

My hubby gets a lot of those on his mobile Slacker, I don't though as mine is much older - think I will stick with it  ;)

Didn't mean insurance against loss or damage (though that may be covered on your houseshold contents) just payment protection.

Examples on the programme included people being sold PPI in case they lost their job when they weren't actually working in the first place or people being sold it to cover payments if they went of sick even though they may already have medical insurance
