Cross!!
« on: November 26, 2012, 10:02:48 AM »
Had a telephone call this morning, telling me I had completed a home survey and someone in my household had back and shouldre problems.
Three times I told her I do not complete survey's and asked where she obtained the information which to me is private. Of course she just said a survey.
Eventually i told her I knew just where she had got the information from and they had no right to share it telling her she was wasting my time and hers i put the phone down!
Do holiday insurance companies hve the right to give out personal information.
I checked the number who rang - of course it was with held  >:(

There's always the caveat on most insurance policies that they will share information amongst themselves so you can't try to claim off two different policies for the same accident.
I think there was a case recently where an insurance company got caught selling information about claims to ambulance chasing solicitors. The Insurers don't care because a) they are getting extra money and b) if the solicitors do manage to get large payouts the insurers simply pass these costs on to us in terms of higher premiums.

Strange that, my Mother-in-law used to get this type of call and they too knew about her medical conditions (arthritis, knee replacement)!
