Kate Bush CBE - A True Genius

Kate Bush awarded CBE in New Years Honours

This is how it started...

Kate Bush- Wuthering Heights

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Classic track  :)

Quote
In 1978, at the age of 19, Bush topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks with her debut single "Wuthering Heights", becoming the first woman to have a UK number one with a self-written song

I was going to say not a genius but a very good singer songwriter but then I thought about her only being a teenager when she started out and thinking that the ambition of someone that age now is to win X factor then she very probably is a genius by comparison.

She was "discovered" by Dave Gilmore aged 16 and spent a couple of years learning her craft. She also, if I remember correctly, was the first performer to use a radio microphone as she was also an accomplished dancer. FWIW
