The Welfare Bill
« on: January 09, 2013, 02:01:07 PM »
A government of millionaires makes the poor poorer while trying to turn them against each other. And so a new generation learns to appreciate the passion behind Labour pin-up Nye Bevan's famed declaration in 1948 that the Tories are “lower than vermin”.

Only watched brief clips of yesterday's parliament (just a bit busy at the moment).

If they are not careful they will end up with streets riots ( it has been forwarned a few weeks ago).

They say they are giving more money to people who find work, looking after the vulnerable ( I know this isn't so) and pensioners look set to be next on their hit list - didn't they say they would leave them alone?

- fuel monies are a lifeline to some elderly, why don't they just take it from those that don't need it and put it straight into a pot to be shared out to those that are desperate for it. I suppose it will go into their pot though  :(
ANNNNDDD where's our Pepsiprefect as they are on about taking away the Gold card  :-?  :-? ( not sure if it's everyone or just pensioners though

People are entitled to their views, its just when statements like "we're all in this together" get trotted out by the right, when it's a fact that the people on benefits are going to be worse off that I feel the need to correct.

The Tories know that their core voters won't give a fuck about the poor.

high earners are worse off

Yes but no. They're better off because they earn more. Respect, they might be more educated, hence better paid jobs.
If you're worse off under under the tories, why don't you vote Labour.
Could have been £45,000 better off according to 'your' figures ?

There's got to be more to this.
Just my penneth  :)
