Snow - How is it where you are?

Must admit I'm impressed with the council's road gritting and snow clearance this year, in fact I've been all over the place since the snow came and not had any problem. How is it where you are?

Our single track road has a good 6-8 inches on it, but cars seem to be ok going up and down. My son phoned me on his way to work to say the bus got stuck in the bus stop opposite Calow Church - he had to reverse before he got out. Glad I'm off til Tuesday

The surface/standing water seems to be as much of a problem as the snow itself - for pedestrians anyway.
There was a problem with the snow thawing off the 'roof' of the Market Hall - it was falling off in large chunks and it had to be cordoned off.

Looks good for us all then.
I went down Brampton and, as Em said, Chatsworth Road and Chester Street are good.
Just bought a few cases of the Amber nectar just in case...
Lets hope we don't get any more - it was fun - but not that much fun...

No more for us Pete not yet anyway. They say we are due for a big thaw and there is already evidence of that as we walked home up the single traffic main raod through our village where the snow had melted and was running a little river down it.
Put a lot down hasn't it more tahn last week.

Well, the bulk of the snow has melted away and we now have a couple of flood warnings - they can be seen here -

If you live in an area where flooding happens, it might be an idea to bookmark that page.
