My old school, and where I learned to swim in the 1960's.  My mum and also mum in law went there too.  I did my teaching qualification there back in 2002 and my daughter studied there as well.  Very fond memories and associations with the place.

Finally opened. I haven't been able to park and take a shot or two. Will get a few shots when I can.
If you thought parking on Avondale Rd was bad, try getting in here LOL  8)
The entrance closest to Foljambe Rd is the way 'In', the one closest to Brockwell Lane is the 'Exit/No Entry'

Strange if you didn't know what the building was you might think it was a modern prison.
My OH is going to be working in there, they are renting some of the spare space out to 111

Every expense spared in that design - what were the architects thinking? "Let's make it all straight lines with a flat roof; that'll fit in perfectly with the surrounding buildings..."

It beggers belief that such poor design is considered acceptable in Chesterfield - the Casa Hotel is another example. Are the councillors on the planning committee blind?

What's 111 Jon?
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

111 the New Non-Emergency Number for the NHS in Chesterfield
27th October 2011

111 is the new healthcare number to call, when you need medical help or advice but it isn't a 999 emergency.

This new service is being rolled out across the UK and is replacing the NHS Direct service.  It has now been launched in the Chesterfield and Bolsover areas.

NHS 111 is a free call number from both landlines and mobile phones and is a fast, easy way to get the help you need...

◦Whatever you need
◦Wherever you are
◦Whatever the time.

You should call 111 when:

◦It is not a 999 emergency
◦You think you need to go to A & E
◦You cannot wait for an appointment at your Doctor's
◦You do not know who to call for medical help.

When you call NHS 111 your condition will be assessed immediately and you will not need to be called back.  If further help is deemed necessary then you will be passed straight through to the relevant service.

I actually like it. It's just too big for the parking area.
Think the right side is the doctors/pharmacy bit.
Left side is rent-able office space. I may be wrong.

Just for the record, 111 is the new NHS Direct. 0845 46 47
Another waste of space, money, and time.  IMHO

Just glad it employs people  :-X
Not a dig at your missus JR. A job is a job nowadays  :-X
