Tesco closure.
« on: February 25, 2013, 04:46:11 PM »
Just got this from the DT's FaceBook page. Can't find a link on the DT website just yet.

Tesco is planning to close its Chesterfield grocery distribution centre with the potential loss of scores of jobs, the Derbyshire Times has learned. Are you affected by this news? If so, email michael.broomhead@jpress.co.uk

That's quite a few jobs going  :o
Step daughter used to work there, they offered her redundancy after her maternity leave.
Bet she's glad she took it.

Quote from a friend of mine on Facebook. Cheers Mark  ;)

I did say when the new one at Daventry opened,  the Barlborough one would close within 3 years. (That was almost 2 years ago now)
