so what does it matter what their party politics is?

It doesn't at all until a politician trying to take credit makes a comment like they are 'on our wavelength'

By "our"  I mean the 3 local councillors, one being lead member for Leisure and the other 2 being deputy and support members for environment who have all worked with council officers and Friends of Eastwood Park. All party planning consultations also took place.

these are the campaigners I feel sorry for, they (like many others throughout the country) are losing a facility not getting a nice new one

Except that Sheffield City Council say they are working with the campaigners to find an amicable solution.

CBC are ignoring the QPSC campaigners and forging ahead with an unpopular scheme.
Or do you only talk to the electorate 2 weeks before elections councillor?
