Question about irresponsible parking
« on: June 01, 2013, 09:22:17 PM »
Some of you may know where I mean on this (most likely Fly) but is there anything that can be done to stop irresponsible parking?

In Boza, theres a take away chip shop type place on a corner and all up the road on both sides are double yellow lines.  Most times when I go up there in an evening, theres cars parked on them, and quite often on the bend.  The road isnt the widest anyway and ive seen a couple of near misses as cars have come round the corner to be faced with the rear end of a car parked illegally or a car coming in the opposite direction.

In this area there are a number of car parks close by which people seem to ignore as they seem to be frankly to bloody idle to walk and honestly I cant imagine why its so popular, last time I went it was one of the worst fish and chip meals ive ever had (needless to say I havent been back since)

So if I took a picture of a car parked like this and sent it off to the police (for example), would anything happen?

I see it as a danger and obstruction.

Im a bomb technician.  If you see me running, try and keep up

I think you'd be wasting your time Simon. I do agree with what you are saying though.
Perhaps an email to Boza council may be better.
I'm sick of people parking in the pedestrian zone in front of Farm Foods.
F'in blue badge brigade. Sorry, you have no right to park there for free.

I might chase this up myself.  Same as the pizza delivery car parked on/off the causeway just after the Swan  >:(

Just had a really bad thought. What's Boza market place going to be like when the new Morrisons is built  :-?
Idle Boza parking everywhere !!

We have to get round this in a bus as well - they seem to be oblivious of this, but we do, all 37 feet long of it

In our village although not double yellow lines the chippy is on a corner and cars park on that corner which is a crossroads. The the past it has been requested to the council that double yellow lines be put in front and around the corner (there IS a car park just a short distance away) - The request was refused as it was thought it 'may take business from the chippy'
