I went to KFC earlier in Barlborough and while I was in there, a taxi pulled in with his family on board and parked in one of the disabled bays.

Now im no expert on where taxis can and cant officially park, but im almost 100% certain that parking in a disabled bay when you arent disabled (no blue badge displayed), just to get some food isnt right. 

Im not going to name them on here but I have the registration plate and also the licence number plus time of visit.  And no it wasnt Celias before anyone asks.  :))

So, would I be wasting my time writing a complaint about the blatent disregard for spaces clearly reserved for disabled visitors?  Personally I think its disgusting that because its a taxi, he thinks he can park where he damn well pleases.  It only a small and trivial in the scheme of things but its really annoyed me.

I think the taxi part of your story is irrelevant, there are people from all walks of life, driving all sorts of vehicles who think they are above the rules.

Yes but normal cars don't usually have who you work for on them.

Chances are, Taxi. Driver should know better, but obviously doesn't care.  :-X

Some of them taxi lads are a bit full themselves. I took a taxi home a couple of weeks ago, and when I said pull in anywhere you can, he asked which was my house, I said just pull in here, he replied, "I'll stop where I f*cking please...

Now that remark would have set me off Pete, not only would he have got some verbal I would have also reported him. Just can't accept ignorance - but having to 'pay' for it - makes me so cross  >:(

Nice one Pete  ;)

We have problems all the time with unofficial parking in disabled bays makes me so cross as we need the wider bays to get wheelchair users out of cars. I asked at cineworld in Chesterfield about this as parents use them for drop off /pick up points.
I was told they can't do anything about it because they are not painted BLUE!!!  >:(
